PT 123 Pharmacology with Drug Names, Part I
This course will begin the introduction of the top 200 commonly prescribed drugs in the United States. The drug action mechanisms, route of administration, and the effects on the body systems will be explored. Emphasis is placed on the uses, effects, and side effects of the major drug classes.
Prerequisite
High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma. Ability to speak, read, and write the English language. Successful completion of a college-level math course within the last 5 years (unless they hold a bachelor's degree, then the 5-year rule does not apply), CAH 105 Computer Applications or equivalent, and a 5-credit Medical Terminology course. All courses required for certificate or degree must be completed with a grade of B" or better."
