ENV 248 Hydrology

Course covers the basic principles of applied surface water hydrology, ground water hydrology, and water quality. Emphasis is placed on a watershed-based approach that uses water quality standards to regulate surface water quality. Concepts and principles of biologically-based water quality standards are also introduced. The occurrence, movement, and quality of water beneath the earth’s surface, aquifers, well-testing methods, and sampling techniques are also covered.
