NURS 131 Medical/Surgical Nursing II
Utilizing a physiological systems approach focus is on implementation of the nursing process in the care of a diverse population of clients with health disturbances. Emphasis will include promotion of physiological integrity through providing care and comfort, reducing client risk potential and managing health alternations. Topics will include patients having surgery, hypertension, heart failure, respiratory system disorders, hepatic, pancreatic and gallbladder disorders, upper gastrointestinal disorders, lower gastrointestinal orders, urinary system disorders.
Prerequisite
Successful completion of NURS 117, NURS 120, NURS 121, and NURS 124.
