Foundations Of Graphic Design Certificate
Prepares students for entry-level careers within the Graphic Communications Industry. Students will learn the fundamentals of design elements and principles, and utilize industry-specific software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat to create images, illustrations, layouts, and other design projects.
The certificate is a pathway to the Graphic Design Technology associate degree programs.
Program Length
This program is approximately two quarters long, depending on the time students need to satisfactorily complete all graduation requirements.
Admission Dates
Fall and spring quarters.
Program Outcomes
• Create both raster and vector imagery utilizing Adobe software.
• Create images, illustrations, and layouts utilizing the elements and principles of design.
• Apply typographic terms and concepts, and layout fundamentals to design documents.
