CPW 350 Operating Systems
This one-quarter, junior-level course offers an integrated exploration of the fundamental concepts of operating systems, viewed through the lens of program execution and control flow. The emphasis is on understanding the synergy between high-level language translation (compilers), process management, and the operating system functions that manage computational resources. The course challenges students to build a simple but complete toolchain to better appreciate the journey of a program from source code to execution within a protected environment.

Successful completion of
CPW 340, with a minimum grade of C (2.0), or instruction permission.
