MLT 234 Hematology & Hemostasis

A thorough study of the development, identification, and abnormalities associated with blood cells and hemostasis. Topics include formation of blood cells, identification of normal and abnormal cells found in blood and body fluids, disease correlation, blood clotting, and fibrinolytic mechanisms. The principles and performance of routine hematology and coagulation procedures and basic instrumentation to diagnose and monitor diseases are included.
